This Cookies and Gravy Casserole with Sausage and Eggs is an easy breakfast dish made with cookies, gravy, eggs, sausage and cheese.
This breakfast casserole is a must-have for any occasion, from large holiday gatherings or brunch to a simple Sunday morning breakfast.
*Ingredients
°1 pound sausage
°1 package Pioneer brand peppery sausage gravy mix
°1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
°6 eggs
°1/2 cup of milk
°Salt / black pepper, to taste
°1 box Pillsbury Large Biscuit
*How to make
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
2. In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and cooked through.
3. In bowl, whisk together sauce mix and 1 c water until smooth.
4. Add sauce to skillet and stir to combine. Simmer, 2 to 3 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
5. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese until melted and combined.
6. In bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt and pepper.
7. Spread sausage sauce mixture in prepared baking dish.
8. Pour the egg mixture on top, then cover with the biscuits.
9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cookies are golden brown and the eggs are set.
10. Serve hot and enjoy!
